John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was born in 1892. Tolkien was a professor of the University of Oxford. He wrote many stories, including his famous 'The Hobbit' (1937) and his Lord of the Rings trilogy in 1954-1955.
Tolkien created many other stories as well, such as; The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, Ancrene Wisse, Leaf by Niggle, The Lay of Aotrou and Itroun, Imran, Smith of Wooton Major and many more!
In my opinion, Tolkein was one of the best fantasy writers, his ideas and words were exceptional. Sadly, he left us before my birth. Yet his work continues on...
