I was completely stunned, when a relative of mine freaked out at my pet hamster! She was AFRAID of it! What a cliche, the whole 1940's
woman on a stool scenario. The words "disgusting" and "gross" are not
titles pertaining to my wee little hamster! Let's just put this is perspective,
a hamster is a few ounces, smaller than your hand, and how many zillions
of pounds bigger are we than a small rodent???

And the biggest reason...Rodents are CUTE!!! They have soft fur and beautiful black round eyes, and don't forget their delicate pink hands! Then they have a small tiny tail, not even one and a half centimetres long, it's so ridiculous--it's cute! How one can get an image of a savage, rabid, scary beast I do not know! They are also CLEAN. Rodents wash themselves before meals, after meals, when they wake, before they sleep, and after we have touched them.

One common stupid reason for fear of rodents is that they carry plague. Only a select number of wild rats and mice do, not domestic sweet little store bought rodents! Humans cause these plagues, through immorality such as beastiality, homosexual practices and hygeine. Those are common reasons for diseases for today. In older days, humansdidn't wash, or have toilets--they threw their dung into the streets! Hamsters would never be so disgusting! Why do you know that in the wild, hamsters make an individual hole for their potty? Only those rodents subjected to poor living conditions over a long time would adapt.

Now some people have irrational fears they can't help, but most don't, even when they believe they do. Look a cute little rodent in the eye, and tell him he's a scary ferocious beast! Ferocious Beast? I think that accepting the sweetness of rodents is a good thing. After all what are we to God? Nothing but mere humans, worse than the most disgusting bug! So if we want God to look at us with love, we should look at his creations with love.
